Our Waiheke Island loft style space is positioned on a coastal ridge to capture the expansiveness of the Hauraki Gulf and its surrounds. You will immediately relax into your senses as you gaze outwards to the sea and inwards to the simple luxurious design of your retreat space. From the organic linen of the queen sized bed, the sheepskins, the natural oiled materials of the floors and walls, the sunny tiles of the shower and bathroom, to the depth of the forest and the ancient Pohutukawa towards the South – it’s a feast for the senses.

Open the double sliding doors, relax in the comfort of indoor/outdoor furniture and enjoy the complimentary, welcoming local organic refreshments provided. The lullaby of local ruru will soothe you to sleep each night. All windows have screens to provide you with an uninterrupted nights sleep.

So you can begin your day in good health and in your own time we provide you with breakfast – fresh seasonal fruit, our own homemade muesli, yogurt, milks, plus locally baked breads and spreads. There is no need to move far or fast, or even at all.

The wonderful Palm Beach is a 600m walk down the hill mostly via a bridle path. Here you will find white sands, palm trees and wonderfully gentle waves (with the occasional surf day). You’ll also spot the local Palm Beach store for any extra supplies you might want (they do the best toasties, pastries and coffee on the island). Your local restaurant (Arcadia) is right there, too, if you prefer a casual dining out experience. All our island cafés and stores open early and close early – it’s a rhythm you may wish to tune into.

We are located on the Northern side of the motu on the Te Ara Hura Waiheke Walkway. This coastal track passes your loft space, heading East towards Onetangi and West towards Oneroa. Other forest and coastal tracks are accessible within a short drive or bus ride.

As your hosts we are as available as you wish. Mostly it’s quiet gently held solitude our guests are longing for. If you wish to engage with a more guided experience of transformation over 2-3 days then let’s chat about how we design that to meet your needs.

Waiheke Horizons is a stand-alone sea views studio 600m from Palm Beach, Waiheke Island.
